RESUME' OF RICHARD (RICK) MEYER
Voice Mail (713)867-3921
Fax (713)988-8643
Introduction: I am a Systems Analyst/Network Engineer with the CNE/ECNE certification from Novell.
I have six years experience with network design and implementation for small, medium and large scale
installations with a broad range of PC experience including complete configuring of hardware and software for
IBM PC and compatibles (ISA and EISA) and PS/2 series. I also have a good knowledge of the entire Compaq
series from the desktop to the System Pro's.
My networking experience is extensive. I am fully capable of managing all aspects of a Novell network, from
installing the wiring to useing sniffers to troubleshoot connectivity problems. I have administered networks
under NetWare, IBM LAN servers and PCLP platforms, as well as upgrading existing networks to use Novell
products.
I am also an experienced programmer, blending this talent with my networking abilities to write utilities for
network management, user support and other arenas such as in CAD and engineering disciplines. I also have
done beta testing on several products for Microsoft, Novell and AutoDesk.
I am looking for employment with a company that would like to utilize my talents, as well as challenge me to
excel and offer me the opportunity to grow beyond my current capabilities. My desire to work is not only in
the U.S., but overseas as well. I spent a year in Indonesia working for the government and enjoyed the work
and travel experiences. I had no difficulty adapting to the many different cultures and customs.
